What to pack for a flight?

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Toiletries

Here are our essential tips for what to take on a long plane journey:

  1. A packet of The Doctor’s BrushPicks (you’ve got 5 sides to your teeth you know!)
  2. Stain Wipes from M&S (just in case you spill that wine on your top)
  3. Mini packet of babywipes/ handwipes
  4. Eyedrops – refreshing – all that air conditioning dries out your eyes
  5. Hand/Body Moisturiser mini tube. Makes all the difference and helps prevent your skin drying up.
  6. Painkillers. Just in case!
  7. Lipsalve. Helps prevent your lips drying up on the plane.
  8. Sleeping Tablets/ Melatonin if you’re on a long haul flight.
  9. PJs if your on a long haul flight.
  10. Hoody/ Cardigan/ Wrap. Planes are strange creatures. Sometimes it gets very cold on them once the airconditioning has kicked in
  11. Your own headfones. So much nicer than the ones they give you for long haul travel.

Off on a British Summer Holiday?

british summer holiday

Off on holiday this summer in the UK? If you’re like us then you’ll be driving to your destination. Here are our tips on what it is worth getting for your journey for your British Holiday:

  1. The Doctor’s BrushPicks packet for the car / handbag
  2. Eyedrops. We all get tired eyes, and what a difference these make. Our top tip is to keep them in a cool bag.
  3. Sick of buying coffees when you go on long journeys? Invest in a Contigo flask from John Lewis/ Amazon. We love them.
  4. Small cool bag for the car this is one that we use from Thermos, along with a small flat icepack to stay in it.
  5. Large cool bag for picnics. Our favourite has to be the flexible one from Lakeland Plastics. Great when your filling a car up. Very compact and it works.
  6. Babywipes. Very useful all round saviour for journeys/holidays/planes.
  7. Painkillers. You never know when you might need one.
  8. Sting relief cream.

We hope we’ve helped make your summer holiday packing a little easier with our top tips.

Dentist’s Review of Our BrushPicks

We were thrilled when we received this review in our inbox this morning from leading Dentist,  Dr.  Athyr Al-Killidar, who is based at UK Smile London:

DR ATHYR AL-KILLIDAR BDS (LON) BSC (LON)

“Having food or plaque stuck between your teeth is one of the most annoying things, so I was happy to receive a sample of Brush Picks to review, and I must say that I was very impressed – they were well designed and fabricated, with a miniature bristle brush on one side and a tooth pick on the other. Even though they are designed for a single-use and are disposable, I found the brush side to be as effective as multi-use Tepe brushes at cleaning between teeth. The tooth-pick side is also well thought-out and has small ridges on the surface for more effective cleaning of the inter-proximal surface of teeth. I especially liked the little portable container that makes it easy to the keep them in a pocket or a purse when going out for dinner. I shall certainly be ordering more of them and will recommend them for my patients.” Dr. Athyr Al-Killadar

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, and we’re grateful for your support.
